Awards from the state level include the Illinois Press Association, the Illinois Association Press Managing Editors and Illinois Broadcasters Association. Awards from the national level include Editors & Publishers, Inland Press Association and the Associated Press Sports Editors.
Some of our most prestigious awards have been the Mable S. Shaw Memorial Sweepstakes Trophy, Editors & Publisher’s “10 Newspapers That Do It Right” for three consecutive years, as well as “Station of the Year” for NewsTalk 1400 WDWS by the Illinois Broadcaster Association.
